Our Goal

Chimera Atmosphere strives to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, in order to make this website accessible to all users.

Implemented Measures

  • All artwork images include descriptive alternative texts.
  • Decorative graphics are hidden from screen reader flow using aria-hidden="true".
  • Page content is structured using semantic HTML elements: <header>, <main>, <footer>, <nav>.
  • A "Skip to content" link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation quickly.
  • The burger menu is implemented as a <button> and communicates its state via aria-expanded.
  • All interactive elements display a visible focus indicator when navigating by keyboard.
  • Lightboxes are marked as role="dialog" with aria-modal="true" and include focus traps and keyboard navigation.
  • Gallery items and shop cards are operable by keyboard (Enter/Space).
  • Required fields in the contact form are marked with aria-required="true" and visual indicators.
  • Colour contrasts meet WCAG AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
  • Users who prefer reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion) will not see animated effects.
  • On touch devices, all interactive elements are at least 44×44 px in size.
  • Parallax effects are disabled on touch devices.

This website is under continuous development. It has not yet been reviewed by an external accessibility audit.
